More than a drop in the ocean

For more than a decade, volunteers from Deloitte in India have helped thousands of people realise their aspirations. It’s all part of our annual tradition of volunteering – Impact Day.

This year, Impact Day will be held in two phases:

Phase 1: 29 November 2019
Phase 2: 6 December 2019

Deloitte is strongly committed to positive societal change. Community involvement drives measurable change, inspires our actions as societal change makers, and instils pride in knowing that applying our skills and experience accelerates positive societal impact.

Impact made in 2018

  • More than 40,000 volunteers across 13 cities in India
  • 156 projects covering more than 930,000 beneficiaries
  • Over 260,000 cumulative hours of volunteering

Sonali Fabiani's story

Sonali Fabiani conducted workshops on identifying personality type, resume writing, interview skills, and career counselling, for the children at Abhyudaya Nagar Municipal School. – Abhyudaya Nagar

Shantanu and Foram's story

Shantanu and Foram focused on project-based learning, by organising a wealth from waste activity – practical skills that always useful.

Saloni Bhalla's story

Translating potential into possible was the focus of Saloni Bhalla's project in Impact Day 2018. Among other things, her group imparted interview skills and building the confidence of well-educated youth at the National Association for the Blind in Mumbai.

Pooja Seksaria's story

Pooja Seksaria, a five-time Impact Day project leader, used these mediums to create a day filled with new discoveries and loads of fun, for the kids at Matrubhoomi School, on the fringes of Mumbai’s Sanjay Gandhi National Park.

Sharad Wadhawan’s story

Sharad Wadhawan’s group focused on financial literacy for women, and making them aware of social welfare schemes they can avail.
