Tax alert: EPFO simplifies PF account transfer process

On January 15, 2025, the Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (‘EPFO’) issued a circular for simplifying the Provident Fund (‘PF’) transfer procedure for members who change their employment. The earlier requirement of routing the transfer application through past or present employer has been removed, making the process direct.
