Tax alert: Enhancement of Labour Welfare Fund contributions in Karnataka

On 10 January 2025, the Government of Karnataka notified the Karnataka Labour Welfare Fund (Amendment) Act, 2024 (‘Amendment Act’) wherein the contribution rates for the Labour Welfare Fund (‘LWF’) for the employee, employer, and the state government have been increased with immediate effect.
