Tax alert: EPFO gives final opportunity to employers to provide details, upload employees’ higher pension applications

As per a press release dated 18 December 2024 issued by the Ministry of Labour & Employment (‘MoLE’), a final opportunity is being provided to the employers till 31 January 2025 to ensure that they process and upload the pending applications for validation of option/joint options for higher pension. Employers have also been provided time till 15 January 2025 to furnish replies/update the information by where Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (‘EPFO’) has sought clarifications/ additional information.
