Tina is a former US Government international trade attorney with experience drafting, implementing, and complying with international trade law. Tina specializes in US International Traffic in Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and US Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”).
Tina previously managed the US Department of Homeland Security’s (“DHS”) export controls policy office. She lead DHS’s internal export controls compliance programme, served as the primary DHS Representative to the President’s Export Control Reform Initiative, and was DHS head of delegation to the Wassenaar export controls negotiations.
Tina’s experience includes implementation of an internal compliance programme, overseeing the mass export control classification of products, and assisting global companies with sanctions compliance.
Tina holds a law degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and certificates in Mandarin Chinese from Beijing Foreign Studies University and National Taiwan Normal University. Prior to law school, Tina worked at Microsoft in Shanghai, China and Taipei, Taiwan as a business and language training specialist.
