Fast 50 initiative

One of the most respected benchmarks of fast-growing technology companies. The program ranks technology, media, telecommunications, life sciences, and clean technology companies based on fiscal year revenue growth, and spans the globe with a presence in North America (United States and Canada), Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), and Asia Pacific (APAC).

The Fast 50 Program was first launched in the US in 1995 and since then Deloitte Member Firms around the world have joined the program, which covers approx. 40 countries. Iceland kicked-off its participation in 2015, in collaboration with Federation of Iceland Industries, the Association of Women Business Leaders in Iceland and Innovation Center Iceland. In total 9 Icelandic Fast 50 companies have reached the EMEA Fast 500 list, there of 2 in the top 50 ranking and 4 in the top 150.

Companies that have been active in the technology sector for more than four years and had a turnover last year of at least EUR 800.000 and EUR 50.000 in 2013 can participate in the Rising Star program. Participation is free of charge. Since 2015, approx. 30 companies have registered to the Fast 50 program in Iceland. In 2015 the Fast 50 winner was Thula Nordic Source Solutions and in 2016 it was AppDynamic

The Fast 50 program in Iceland is also supported by Eyrir Invest, Frumtak, Investa and NSA Ventures.
