Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at Deloitte Japan

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) is one of the key management strategies at Deloitte Tohmatsu Group -as we believe an inclusive environment will enable us to bring the full potentials and will serve as a driving force for innovative teams and organizations. The DEI Committee, comprised of the Group CEO, CHRO and Business Leaders, has been established to accelerate initiatives on Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI), focusing on important themes, with the strong commitment by our top management.

What we are trying to achieve is an inclusive environment where all members can be true to themselves feeling safe and secure, thrive, and maximize their performances. It will improve our Personal Well-being and build a foundation for “Well-being society” where all members have empathy and trust for one another, which is our aspirational goal for making an impact to the society. To make our empathy and trust within Deloitte Tohmatsu Group even stronger, we have to empower DEI, commit to growth of our clients and the society, and become a catalyst to change the society as a group where each and all members thrive.

DEI Framework at Deloitte Tohmatsu Group

Diversity is not about supporting people or people with certain labels.We aim to make a firm root of an inclusive society by comprehensively and strategically promoting DEI in order to make individual differences as source of strength, planning and implementing initiatives to enable members with all kinds of differences to thrive and empower, as well as being vocal internally and externally.

Inclusive environment is imperative for us to grow, provide the value to the clients and to the society in this challenging times.

Our Structure for DEI

The Group CEO and business leaders of the business entities have established the DEI Committee to accelerate DEI-related initiatives. Various initiatives are discussed by the DEI Committee and any decisions will be then approved by the Executive Committee, followed by final approval by the Group Board. After decisions are made, DEI Committee members commit to execute and implement the decisions made.
