At Deloitte Japan, not only are we working on actively reducing overwork but are also introducing teleworking and other flexible working programs in order to increase our professionals’ choices on how to deal with life events at work. We also promote taking paid holidays and paternal leave in an effort to improve our professionals' private lives.

We are introducing teleworking in our 4 major businesses to facilitate work-life balance, and are working on expanding that system in the future.

Working programs

We have introduced various working programs such as balance of work and home, and work reduction for professionals who can’t work a regular office schedule due to pregnancy, childcare, and nursing care. We also have working programs for reasons other than childbirth, childcare and nursing care.

Supporting childcare and nursing care

In order to ease the balance of caretaker duties and work, we are helping to secure childcare facilities for children on waiting lists as well as providing financial support for using babysitter- or caretaker services.

Securing childcare facilities for children on waiting lists

We have secured entry into Kids Square Tokyo Square Garden (Kyobashi) for children of professionals who are on nursery school entrance waiting lists which makes it difficult for them to return to work. professionals can also receive financial support for childcare fees. Babysitter and nursing sick children support

In order to create an environment in which professionals can work with peace of mind while depending on childcare, we are subsidizing membership fees, monthly fees and usage fees when using our partner's sitter services. (Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu LLC, Deloitte Tohmatsu Tax Co)

Child and nursing care coupons

Professionals can use the points they receive in the Tohmatsu Health Insurance Association’s "Cafeteria Plan" as coupons for payment when using childcare and nursing services.
