Conference Summary Report

Deloitte Tohmatsu CFO Program held its 6th edition of CFO Vision Conference for active CFOs, theming“Inclusive Growth”. Together with our participating CFOs, the strategists of corporate management, the Conference provided an opportunity to discusse how we could achieve inclusive corporate management and inclusive growth.

CFO VISION Conference 2018 Overview

"CFO VISION" is a conference where Chief Financial Officers (CFOs) gather and discuss the future of corporate management from the viewpoint of what CFO should do about the universal theme of "sustainable growth".

This time, which is the sixth time since the start of 2013, the Conference was held under the theme of "Inclusive Growth" which was covered at the Davos Conference, and received 175 participants from 126 companies, the largest number of companies attended ever. Both lectures and social gatherings ended successfully.

Mr. Kigawa was born in Hiroshima Prefecture in 1949. He graduated from the Faculty of Commerce, Hitotsubashi University in 1973. After the gradutation he joined the Fuji Bank Ltd. (current Mizuho Financial Group).
After serving multiple important roles, as a Managing Director, a Chief Risk Officer and the Head of Risk Management Group, as well as Chief Human Resources Officer and the Head of Human Resources Group at Mizuho Corporate Bank Ltd. (current Mizuho Bank Ltd.), Mr. Kigawa joined and became Managing Director of Yamato Transport Co., Ltd in 2005.
In November the same year, Mr. Kigawa took over position of Representative Managing Director of Yamato Holdings Corporation.
In 2007, Mr. Kigawa became Representative Director and Executive Officer of Yamato Holdings Co., Ltd. , and Representative Director the President and Executive Officer of Yamato Transport Co., Ltd.
After seving the two positions, Mr. Kigawa took role of the Representative Director and President of Yamato Holdings Co., Ltd. between April 2011 and March 2015. Since April 2015, Mr. Kigawa has been in hcarge as Representative Director and Chairperson of Yamato Holdings Co., Ltd. untill March 2018. Since April 2018 to today, Mr. Kigawa is in charge of management of Yamato Holdings Co., Ltd. as Chairperson of the Board of Directors.

My name is Thomas Keller. I am a Swiss National, originally coming from Zurich.

I am married with my wife Kiwa Keller, a Japanese National from Iwate prefecture and we have two daughters.

I am currently working for Nestle Japan as Director & Chief Financial Officer.

My career with Nestlé started in Switzerland in 1995 after graduating from University of St. Gallen majoring in Business Administration – Finance & Control. After spending one year in the Head Office in Vevey, I got transferred abroad.

My first assignment was in Vietnam in a NESCAFE and MILO factory, from there I moved to Australia and then to China. After spending nearly 10 years in the Greater China Region in several different positions in Beijing, Shanghai and Taipei, I got transferred to Jakarta, where I spend three years as CFO of Nestle Indonesia. Since March 2014, I am working in my current role here in Nestle Japan.
