Survey Report on Corporate Attitudes toward Corporate Governance Code

How Companies Respond to the Code in 13 Keywords?

Deloitte Japan has summarized the outcomes of the questionnaire surveys conducted among the audience of its “Seminar on Basic Concepts of Corporate Governance Code Raised by the Financial Services Agency and the Tokyo Stock Exchange <I>” held in January and February 2015.

Outline of the Questionnaire Survey

 Deloitte Japan carried out a questionnaire survey among the participants in the first seminar launched nationwide from January through February to show how to respond to a corporate governance code about their ongoing processes to deal with the code.

 Here is a report based on the valid responses received from 325 persons through the survey conducted after the first seminar organized in Tokyo in January, as well as another report produced from valid answers provided by 422 people to the questionnaire implemented following the seminar held in Tokyo (additionally), Osaka, Nagoya, Sapporo and Sendai in February.

 Questions are set by Deloitte Japan over 13 keywords selected to unveil the current process each company is working on and personal opinions of the attendees about policies to take action and so on. Please make good use of the outcomes as your benchmarks.

This report is a summary of the valid responses available from 422 persons through the questionnaire survey implemented after the seminar organized in Tokyo (additionally), Osaka, Nagoya, Sapporo and Sendai in February.

Please refer to the results as your benchmarks.

After the second seminar launched throughout Japan from March through April, another questionnaire survey was also conducted.

Survey Report on Response to Corporate Governance Code Following the First Seminar Held in Tokyo in January

This report summarizes the results of a questionnaire survey (valid responses from 325 persons) conducted after the “Seminar on Basic Concepts of Corporate Governance Code Raised by the Financial Services Agency and the Tokyo Stock Exchange (Draft)” held in Tokyo on January 22.
 
Findings of the report will work as effective benchmarks for the companies which are going to take action for the code. 

After the second seminar developed nationally from March through April, another questionnaire survey was also implemented.

Second Seminar Held in March & April 2015

Here revealed are valid responses received from 663 people through the questionnaire carried out after the second seminar held in Tokyo, Sapporo, Sendai, Shizuoka, Nagoya, Hiroshima and Fukuoka from March through April.
