Indonesia: Recent Changes in Immigration Regulations

In order to support the growth in the national economy through the tourism sector and to improve the relationship between Indonesia and other countries, the Indonesian Government recently issued a new regulation to expand the list of visa-free countries by granting short stay visa exemption to the citizens of the following 30 countries who wish to visit Indonesia for tourism purposes. This kind of tourist visa granted upon arrival in Indonesia is valid for a maximum stay of up to 30 days and is not renewable. (GES NewsFlash:July 2015/Indonesia)
This change is effective from 10 June 2015.
This regulation is intended to improve international relationships between Indonesia and other countries as well as contributing to national development.
