As part of this effort, Deloitte has teamed up with UNLEASH, a global non-profit that supports the SDGs, to run the UNLEASH Lab 2017. This four-day innovation lab will bring together 1,000 people from all over the world to develop actionable solutions to challenges facing global development.

The innovation labs are focused on seven key areas related to the SDGs, including:

  • Education and ICT
  • Water
  • Food
  • Energy
  • Sustainable production & consumption
  • Urban sustainability
  • Health

Deloitte has more than 40 practitioners leading four days of Innovation labs, across 10 facilities in Denmark. They will facilitate the process from idea to prototyping, testing, and finally presenting tangible solutions to a panel of potential investors at the end of the workshop. On the final day, the top solutions will be selected to be actioned by UNLEASH partners, organizations and foundations, supporting UNLEASH.

Twelve Deloitte practitioners were chosen through a competitive application process to join the 1,000 UNLEASH participants. These individuals all demonstrate a commitment to sustainable development, through volunteer and entrepreneurial work.
