Transfer Pricing Workshop

Gaining clarity on the changing world of Transfer Pricing

The global landscape of Base erosion and profit shifting (“BEPS”), unilateral action by countries, and increased international tax audits is resulting in a global tax reset.

This has ushered in a new era of transfer pricing, with an emphasis on transparency, consistency and sharing of information between tax authorities. Consequently, businesses with worldwide operations have to realign their operations with the changing world of transfer pricing.

Locally, scrutiny by the Kenya Revenue Authority (“KRA”) on TP matters is at an all-time high as demonstrated by its aggressive request for taxpayers to furnish documentation during TP audits. TP adjustments are becoming very common with the increase in transfer pricing audits.

To enable you gain a deeper understanding and acquire skills necessary for the appreciation of the impact of the changing TP environment and the evolving nature of TP audits, the Deloitte School of Tax is pleased to invite you to a one-day transfer pricing workshop. The workshop will provide both your tax, finance and operational team with the effective TP knowledge to help improve your day-to-day operations by proactively identifying and managing any potential TP risks. The workshop will also provide illustrative examples to enable participants use their knowledge and experience to discuss the possible risks arising from various commercial arrangements.

What is KRA’s Perspective?

We have invited KRA representatives to provide the KRA perspective on the transfer pricing audits.

In particular, the workshop will encompass:

  • Global tax reset;
  • KRA perspective on TP audits;
  • Topical TP matters relating to various industries with practical examples; and
  • Panel discussion.
