Basheer Ismail has over 40 years of experience in delivering exceptional client service, complemented by the ability to develop, lead, and motivate large engagement teams to excel. In addition to his current role as the managing partner, he leads the Tax service line within Deloitte Sri Lanka.
Additionally, Basheer serves as a lead tax partner for a number of major corporate clients in Sri Lanka. He works closely with our client teams to deliver the insights they need to address their business issues and enhance business value. Basheer provides tax advice on a wide range of domestic and international corporation tax matters.
He specializes in advising corporate clients in planning and developing tax strategies to enhance business value and fulfil compliance requirements.
He is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka, Fellow Member of the Institute of Certified Management Accountants of Sri Lanka and Fellow of the Institute of Certified Professional Managers.
