Boosting women's engagement in STEM: Deloitte Luxembourg's vision for the future

"Being part of the Girls' ESTEAM Fest was inspiring, especially witnessing the enthusiasm and potential of these young women as they explore the world of STEM. It's not just about learning; it's also about fostering a sense of empowerment and resilience that will shape the future of our industries.”

Deloitte Luxembourg, in collaboration with the Luxembourg Tech School, is proud to carry forward the impactful ESTEAM initiative pioneered by Deloitte Belgium in collaboration with the European Women Association (EWA) and Vlajo, under the aegis of the European Commission and the European Innovation and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA).

ESTEAM serves as a platform to unite female students between the ages of 12 and 18, who are keen to hone their digital skills and explore the diverse realms of entrepreneurship.

The primary objective, which aligns seamlessly with our local endeavors, revolves around the empowerment of women and the cultivation of their involvement in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) career paths.

This year, together with the Luxembourg Tech School, we were delighted to hold and moderate a workshop with 14 participants seeking to enrich their digital and entrepreneurial competences, while bolstering their confidence in these progressive fields. In an environment of community and support, where they can connect with like-minded individuals, these students’ inspiration was ignited.
