Deloitte strengthens focus on innovation

Press Release

Friday 29 April 2016

Deloitte Luxembourg launches an Innovation Services Catalogue to prepare companies across multiple industries for the new business reality. The services were designed to create awareness around various forms of innovation and help companies assess their own innovation maturity through a series of analysis and benchmark studies. At the same time, Deloitte will help businesses in Luxembourg understand and benefit from the existing public funding options dedicated to innovation today.

Presented in an innovative way, the services are structured in five pillars: EU funding, start-up disruptive workshops, innovation maturity level assessment, fit for innovation and innovation watch.

“The constant changes in the current business environment require organizations to think new and prepare for the future in a different way. Business as usual is no longer an option for companies that want to see their businesses grow and prosper. Innovation means change and we are determined to help businesses in Luxembourg embrace change and seize the opportunities that are out there through internal innovation and networking with frontier innovators,” explains Benjamin Collette, Innovation Leader at Deloitte Luxembourg.

Top Five approach

The service catalogue highlights five important and complementary steps to successful innovation.

The Innovation Watch follows innovative initiatives in a broad range of industries, while the Innovation Maturity Level Assessment scans a company’s organization, structure, mindset and skills to determine and design the most appropriate innovation strategy. The Start-up disruptive workshops connects established companies with selected start-ups to raise the former’s awareness on new technologies. Fit for Innovation strengthens a company’s competitiveness and performance by focusing on its innovation capacity. Finally, the EU Funding pillar will assist innovative companies and public institutions to access public funding earmarked innovative investment projects.

Breeding ground for innovation

“Similar to the rationale behind the Mind & Market in Luxembourg initiative, we want to give businesses in Luxembourg the opportunity to stay ahead of the curve and excel in their changing business environment. There are many opportunities in Luxembourg and in Europe right now in terms of innovation, and companies need to be well prepared to master this challenge,” adds Luc Brucher, Partner and part of the innovation team at Deloitte Luxembourg.

The Innovation Services Catalogue was launched during the Deloitte annual Innovation and Mind & Market conference on Wednesday, 13 April 2016.

Mark your calendars: The second edition of the Mind & Market in Luxembourg Forum, where minds and markets mingle, will take place in Belval on 30 June.
