John Psaila

Partner - Managing Partner

John started at Deloitte as a junior in 1995 and has been loyal to the Deloitte brand ever since. He has worked as an auditor for three different Deloitte member firms, and been exposed to a broad portfolio of clients that are diverse both from an industry as well as from a cultural perspective. John is specialized in group audits of commercial and industrial companies, and a reference when it comes to the framework governing the operation of public companies in Luxembourg. John joined Deloitte’s Luxembourg firm in 2001 and was appointed to Partner in 2008. In 2015, he was further promoted to the firm’s Executive Committee, and he acted as Deloitte Luxembourg’s Reputation & Risk Leader until he was elected as the firm’s next Managing Partner in October 2017 at the age of 39.

Originally from Malta, John is a fellow of the UK Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, a member of the Luxembourg Institute of Auditors, and an Authorized Statutory Auditor (réviseur d'entreprises agréé) in Luxembourg.

Laurent Berliner

Partner - International Relations Leader

Beside his service responsibilities for many of our clients, Laurent also leads the international relations of our Luxembourg firm to sustain our international development from a client, service, talent and corporate perspective. At a local level Laurent is also our Financial Advisory & Forensic Risk Leader, and a member of our Ethics Committee.

At a global level, he is a member of our Global Financial Services Risk Advisory leadership team, and has been leading our EMEA Financial Services Risk Advisory practice since 2013.

In the marketplace he is a member of the board of the IIA (Institute of Internal Auditors) and of the board of ALRIM (Risk Management Association).

Prior to joining our Luxembourg firm’s Executive Committee Laurent has held a wide range of roles both locally where he has been for many years our Risk Advisory leader, a member of our Advisory & Consulting Executive Committee, as well as a member of our Supervisory Board, and internationally where he has been a member of our EMEA Risk Advisory Executive Committee and of our EMEA Financial Services Executive Committee.

Along his career - started at Deloitte in 1998 as an auditor in Luxembourg and in South Africa before moving to our Advisory practice in 2001 - Laurent has been advising a broad range of local and international clients across all the industries but with a particular focus in the banking, investment management and supranational sectors. Laurent is recognized internationally for his wide experience and practical knowledge in the areas of governance, risk management, internal audit, internal control, and regulatory compliance.

Laurent also regularly supports humanitarian and developmental aid organizations in his areas of expertise as a volunteer advisor.

Originally from Nice in France Laurent holds a master in management from the EDHEC Business School, and professional certifications in internal audit and risk management.

Bernard David

Christiane Chadoeuf

Partner - Audit and Assurance Leader

Christiane is the Audit & Assurance Business Leader at Deloitte Luxembourg.

Originally from France, Christiane started her career at the Deloitte Paris office in 1997, before she broadened her skillset at Deloitte’s Madrid office. Christiane joined Deloitte Luxembourg in 2005 and became Partner five years later. In 2018, Christiane was further appointed to Deloitte Luxembourg’s Executive Committee and she took over the leadership of the firm’s important audit practice.

Christiane is an experienced auditor and a "Réviseur d'Entreprises Agréé" in Luxembourg. Throughout her career, she has gained significant audit experience working on a diverse portfolio of client engagements within the financial services industry, specializing in the commercial, real estate and private equity industries. Christiane has led a number of complex engagements involving consolidated financial statements within an international context.

A role model of the firm’s stated values of integrity and respect, Christiane acted as the firm’s Chief Ethics Officer for several years.

Bernard David

Partner - Tax Leader

Bernard is a partner within the international tax department. He is in charge of an international tax group focused on multinationals (mainly U.S.-based clients) investing in Europe.

Bernard serves large international and multinational companies for group restructurings.

He was part of the International Core of Excellence (ICE)/Luxembourg desk in Deloitte Tax LLP's New York office on a two-year assignment.

Vincent Gouverneur

Partner - Financial Services Industry Leader

Vincent is a partner within the advisory and consulting department. He is the Luxembourg financial services industry leader covering consulting, audit and tax services. He leads the investment management industry in the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East & Africa) . He has almost 30 years of experience in dealing with pan-European distributed funds.

Patrick Laurent

Partner - ACG Leader & Innovation Leader

Patrick joined Deloitte as partner in 2011 and was promoted to the Executive Committee in 2018. Patrick heads the Advisory & Consulting Group (ACG) and is the Firm Innovation Leader. He has extensive experience in shaping and delivering complex transformation programmes – especially in Banking and Investment Management. Patrick has developed those programmes not only in Luxembourg but across Europe and in Middle-East. Patrick specializes in IT Strategy, Enterprise Architecture, Business and Digital transformations. Over the past years, Patrick has acquired in-depth expertise in Innovation, FinTech and Blockchain and has developed and explored different use cases. As a seasoned consultant with a broad range of clients, Patrick has developed a comprehensive expertise in the financial services industry and advises CIO and COO on strategic and more operational topics. Patrick is recognized for his technical expertise within the Deloitte network of member firms and he has been appointed as EMEA FS Core Technology Leader. He holds a Civil Engineering degree from Université Libre de Bruxelles.

Jérôme Lecoq

Partner - Reputation and Risk Leader

Jérôme is Deloitte Luxembourg’s Reputation and Risk Leader and has been a partner within the firm’s audit department since 2011.

Over the course of his career, Jérôme has acquired in-depth expertise in financial services, with a specific focus on the financial and insurance sector in Luxembourg.

Originally from Belgium, Jérôme joined Deloitte Luxembourg in 2001. He was appointed to the firm’s Executive Committee in 2018 and is the firm’s Reputation & Risk Leader.

Jérôme holds also multiple risk leadership roles within our network of member firms.

Pierre Masset

Partner - COO

Pierre joined Deloitte Luxembourg in 2011 as partner. For 9 years, he led the corporate finance team before being appointed to the Executive Committee of the Firm.
He was also CFO for the Advisory and Consulting practice of Deloitte for 4 years. Before joining Deloitte, Pierre worked in Investment Banking and Asset Management for over 10 years in New York and London.

As a professional, he has focused on Mergers & Acquisitions, financing and restructuring operations, both for private equity and corporate clients. Over the years, he has been exposed to a wide array of industries starting in Media & Telecom first then moving to the Consumer, Retail and Leisure sectors and, since joining Deloitte, focusing on the Financial Service Industry.

Pierre graduated from Solvay School of Business in 1995 and got his MBA from New York University Stern School of Business in 2000.

Nick Tabone

Partner - Client and Industries Leader

Nick is a partner within the audit department and has over 20 years' experience in this area.

He has enjoyed experiences in three other international Deloitte offices.

Nick has gained vast experience working on a diverse portfolio of audit engagements within the financial services industry and is now specialized in both regulated and unregulated private equity funds. Nick has extensive experience in LuxGAAP and IFRS and is leading the Assurance Services team.

Dany Teillant

Partner - Quality and Excellence Leader

Dany is a partner within the tax department and has over 15 years of experience in international tax, with 3 years spent in the New York office of our U.S. Member Firm. Dany leads our M&A tax practice, serves as Private Equity Tax Leader and is responsible for the Digital Transformation of our tax practice.

He advises asset managers on a wide variety of international tax issues, including mergers and acquisitions, tax due diligence, global tax optimization, cross-border withholding taxes, tax compliance and assistance with tax considerations affecting regulated and non-regulated investment funds.

Stephan Tilquin

Partner - Talent and People Leader

Stephan currently serves as Deloitte Luxembourg’s firm-wide Talent Leader and he leads the Transfer Pricing department within the firm’s tax practice.

Stephan specializes in international tax and transfer pricing. Over the years, he has served an array of corporate investors, and especially U.S.-based multi-national companies, on cross-border restructuring, and he has acquired in-depth expertise within the field of international corporate tax matters and related Luxembourg transfer pricing considerations.

In 2018, Stephan was appointed to the firm’s Executive Committee and he accepted the role as Deloitte Luxembourg’s firm-wide Talent Leader next to his role as Transfer Pricing Leader.

Originally from Belgium, Stephan joined Deloitte Luxembourg in 2000 and was appointed to partner in 2011. He was seconded to New York for a 2-year period in 2008, where he was leading the firm’s Luxembourg Desk. Stephan is furthermore a chartered accountant in Luxembourg.
