Who we are

Deloitte has a long history in Luxembourg. What started in the 1950s as a small accountancy practice called “l'Agence” is today a multidisciplinary firm, part of a global network of more than 456,000 dedicated professionals providing audit and assuranceconsultingfinancial advisoryrisk advisorytax  and related services to select clients. 

Since the very beginning, Deloitte Luxembourg’s mission has been to support clients in making their most challenging business decisions with confidence, and helping them lead the way to a stronger economy and a healthy society. 

The firm is structured around three business functions: Audit & Assurance, Advisory & Consulting, and Tax. These functions are supported by our internal services, including Marketing & Communications, Legal, Quality and Compliance, IT, Office Management, Human Resources and Finance.  Mirroring the rich diversity of the country in which it operates, Deloitte Luxembourg serves many different clients, from individuals to private and quoted companies, and from local to middle market and international groups.  

True to our commitment to be close to our clients, we are structured by industry to offer the expertise our clients need, address their challenges, and assist them in seizing market opportunities. We also actively listen to our clients to offer tailor-made solutions and remain agile in a fast-moving environment.

Our leadership

Executive Committee
The executive management of the Firm is the responsibility of the Executive Committee. Except where provided otherwise by the Company organisational documents, the Executive Committee shall be invested with the widest powers to deal with all matters pertaining to the achievement of the objects of the Firm. The Executive Committee, under the leadership of the Managing Partner, who bears ultimate responsibility for its actions, shall in particular be responsible notably for the defence of the collective interests of the Firm, overseeing the working of the Practice, for partner matters, for the maintenance of key business/client relationships, for the business development strategy. It shall also ensure that the Firm complies with applicable laws and regulations, whether originating in Luxembourg or elsewhere and shall make sure that enterprise-wide business risks have been properly identified, adequately assessed, appropriately prioritized, managed and monitored on an on-going basis and regularly reported to them.

Supervisory Board
The Supervisory Board is an independent committee that acts as the firm’s primary oversight body. It serves as a counterweight to the firm’s executive bodies (the Executive Committee and Managing Partner) in long-term business and financial strategy matters. The primary role of the Supervisory Board is to oversee the firm’s executive management by the Executive Committee, while at no time interfering in it. The Supervisory Board is notably tasked with overseeing Partnership admission/removal and Equity Partner role level and remuneration, as well as giving input on matters such as ethics, risk management and internal audit, material investments, etc.

Deloitte’s leadership is placing a great emphasis on regular and transparent communication regarding all challenges and opportunities the firm is facing. Through regular virtual and on-site townhalls, whether firmwide or by business function, we shared with all our professionals where we stood and where we aimed to go. We delivered on our “We/Me” hybrid work model enabling our professionals to work from home when they require uninterrupted focus and to join the office for projects and moments that necessitate in-person collaboration.

Digitalization
Digitalization is at the heart of our strategy. Through our digital factories, notably (Tax Digital Factory), Digital Factory | Advisory & Consulting) we constantly rethink and reshape our services, and design new ways to interact both internally and with our clients. We leverage new technology to make us react faster and add value where it matters.  

The emergence and rapid advancement of generative artificial intelligence (AI) has unlocked a host of new marketplace applications and a surge of productivity growth, and Deloitte is well positioned to help clients capture these new opportunities. 

In 2023, Deloitte has launched a Gen AI Initiative. This collaborative effort among Deloitte Global and Deloitte member firms aims to harness the potential of artificial intelligence to drive innovation, enhance operational efficiency, and deliver value to our clients. The Gen AI Initiative consists of 3 focus areas: 1. Service Delivery Transformation (SDT): reimagining delivery across all businesses and enabling Areas. 2. Market Activation (MA): launching new Generative AI assets and services in the market. 3. Innovation: shaping new businesses in emerging markets with Generative AI.
