"Once again, it was really inspiring to see our team mobilizing to participate in this challenge – and with such enthusiasm. The Sport Challenge is great opportunity to create team spirit, but most importantly, we’re able to be out in the community raising funds for Médecins Sans Frontières.”

No matter their fitness level or homebase, the Deloitte Mergers & Acquisitions and General Financial Services Industry Teams (M&A and GFSI teams, respectively) proved again that they’re up for a challenge, especially when sport is combined with a worthy cause.
In the final five weeks of 2022, these teams launched their 2nd “X-Mas M&A and GFSI Sport Challenge.” Either individually or as part of a team, they walked, ran, biked, swam – and more – toward their 4,000-kilometer goal. M&A and GFSI agreed to donate EUR5,000 to Médecins Sans Frontières, a Luxembourg-based non-governmental organization (NGO), if 4,000 km was achieved by 31 December 2021,.
The team surpassed their goal and even beat their previous year’s achievement with 5,289 km covered during the five-week challenge.
Thanks to the team’s spirit and motivation and additional fundraising, EUR5,289 was donated to Médecins Sans Frontières. The three participants in each category (walking, running, cycling and overall fitness) who covered the most kilometers also received a gift.
Key takeaways:
"We had the pleasure to welcome MSF teams in our premises to explain our people their activities and the use of funds. We are proud that our sportive contribution can allow MSF to save more lives, whether during natural disasters, conflicts or epidemics. Or even treat children suffering from malnutrition, vaccinate populations at risks, etc...”
