Sports, Social & Leisure Clubs
We value team spirit at Deloitte and are glad to offer 9 clubs which bring together more than 400 members every week. These clubs give you the chance to meet other employees in an informal context. Here is the list of our current clubs (and more are to come!):
- Sport clubs: badminton, basketball, cycling, football, golf, running, sailing and tennis
- Leisure clubs: kicker
The aim of this programme is to improve the employees’ lives at Deloitte by helping them preserve their body and mind balance. It offers a large panel of activities and trainings: relaxation session (yoga or sophrology), nutrition classes, stress management trainings and much more. A wellness library is available all year long to those who want to get more information concerning relaxation, stress management and nutrition. In addition, our relaxation room will welcome you if you ever need a nap to energise.
Our employees invest their time and energy in the company. To help you organise your own agenda, our conciergerie provides various services to make your life easier and help you save time. These services include dry-cleaning, car washing and a hairdresser.
We care about our planet
We have only one home. Deloitte is aware of its responsibility toward future generations. Preserving the environment is a top priority for us. We have set three main goals in this respect: promote green mobility, practice recycling and waste management and spread eco-friendly tips.
We also integrate greener cars in our leasing offer and vehicle fleet, and we encourage our employees to use different public transport.
Recycling and waste management
To limit our impact on the environment, we practice recycling and waste management. We also have a proactive approach to reducing our environmental footprint by using sustainable materials and changing our buildings and facilities to consume less energy.
Eco-friendly tips are placed at strategic points to encourage employees to adopt a greener behaviour. If you join us, you will be constantly reminded that stairs are healthier and more ecological than the elevator and that it is important to sort waste.
We care about our society
As an entity fully integrated in the Luxembourgish landscape and perfectly aware of its responsibilities toward the society, Deloitte strives to give something back to the community in Luxemburg and abroad. If you join the firm, you will discover a diversified range of opportunities enabling you to give a helping hand to people in need.
Community support and involvement
Deloitte Luxembourg supports associations, organisations and NGOs such as the Fondation Cancer Luxembourg, the Luxembourg Red-Cross and Médecins Sans Frontières. We offer and manage the participation of volunteer employees to charity events like Race against Cancer.
Education and Youth
At Deloitte, we believe that you can make a difference. With the program “Fit for life”, employees can mentor and inspire young people by intervening in classes. These interventions aim at helping students better understand the world in which they live, through basic principles of economy, finance and business, and will guide them in the start of their career.
Give & Share platform
This programme allows volunteer employees to put their skills and experience at the service of an NGO for up to two full weeks, either in Luxembourg or abroad.
Get your team together for a social team building! In just a few hours of collective action, you can make a big difference for an NGO. Thanks to our support, the organisations save time and money, which can be allocated directly to their projects.
The awards received by Deloitte highlight the quality and relevance of our Corporate Social Responsibility strategy and initiatives. For us, CSR is not just a concept, it is a day-to-day reality and challenge. We are committed to continuing and reinforcing our efforts and drive a meaningful, sustainable and positive change.
In March 2014, Deloitte Luxembourg has renewed its ‘Entreprise Socialement Responsable – ESR’ label, delivered by the National Institute of Sustainability and Corporate Responsibility for the second time, recognising the actions implemented since the last award three years ago. This label acknowledges the CSR activities of Luxembourg companies in order to make them aware of their progress and ensure sustainability as well as promote the CSR concept to other companies.
In 2013, Deloitte Luxembourg signed the “Charte Diversité Lëtzebuerg” to express its deep commitment to promoting diversity by concrete actions which go beyond legal and regulatory obligations of non-discrimination. As a firm representing more than 45 nationalities, the way we manage diversity is absolutely fundamental.
Deloitte was awarded with the SuperDrecksKëscht label in recognition of the significant waste management programme put in place. Due to its continuous efforts, the firm renewed the label in July 2014.
