Deloitte Financial Services Transfer Pricing Conference

Spotlight on technological and regulatory change

Deloitte’s first flagship transfer pricing conference for the financial services sector on 28 March in Luxembourg attracted more than 150 participants across the asset management, banking and insurance sectors. The conference, organized by Ralf Heussner and Enrique Marchesi, featured representatives from both Deloitte Luxembourg as well as the global Deloitte network incl. the US, Germany and France. The conference’s theme was “spotlight on technological and regulatory change” and covered an update on the key tax and regulatory trends impacting the financial service sector. The focus of the event was on the interaction between the regulatory and tax dimension as well as the tax impact of digitalization on the financial services sector. In addition, the event covered break-out session on Brexit, tax governance and internal control framework, tax controversy trends in the financial services sector across key jurisdictions, intangibles in the financial services sector and the key transfer pricing aspects for financing in the alternative sector. The conference also featured a client panel focusing on the key challenges for in-house tax/transfer pricing professionals, as well as a panel discussion with representatives of the OECD’s Center for Tax Policy and Administration on the future of transfer pricing in the financial services sector.

This event was one of the key conferences in the global Deloitte transfer pricing network and will be an annual key event in the calendar. We look forward to seeing you in 2020!
