Bruno Colmant is the CEO of Bank Degroof Petercam, the largest Belgian private and investment bank. He holds a Ph.D. and a Master Degree in Applied Economics from the Solvay Business School Economics & Management (ULB). He also holds a Master of Sciences in Business Administration from the Purdue University (USA) and a Master in Fiscal Sciences (ICHEC-ESSF). He is a member of the Belgian Royal Academy. He carries various certifications, including ACI, ICMA, FRM, PRMiA, CFA, CIIA, CMF, CeFA and numerous IIA certifications. He is a chartered accountant and tax advisor and owns the “agent de change” certification. Bruno Colmant began his career at Arthur Andersen, Dewaay and Sofina. He has been Managing Director at ING (1996-2006), Cabinet Head of the Belgian Finance Ministry (2006-2007), CEO of the Brussels Stock Exchange, Member of the Management Committee of NYSE Euronext and Chairman and CEO of Euronext Brussels (2007- 2009) and Deputy CEO at AGEAS (2009-2011). From 2001 throughout 2016, he has been a Partner of the consulting firm Roland Berger and economic advisor to AGEAS’s CEO.
He lectures at the University of Louvain, the Brussels University and other institutions. He has authored more than 75 books.

Rainer Hersch

Comedian and orchestra conductor

Rainer Hersch is an undeniably unique talent: not only is he an internationally recognised conductor but also a highly acclaimed stand-up comedian.

After studying Economics at university, Hersch began a career in Arts Management. Meanwhile, he also moonlighted as a comic on the London circuit. Subsequently, in 1992, he relinquished his job as touring manager of the London Festival Orchestra to join the world of professional comedy.

Twenty-four years later, this rare training in combining laughter with music has kept him in continual demand. Moreover, he has developed a considerable reputation as a broadcaster and presenter for the BBC. Hersch has closed the show in some of the world’s most famous comedy clubs and has made numerous programmes for BBC Radio 4 and Classic FM. His YouTube Clips have had over 30 million views worldwide.

As a keynote speaker, Rainer Hersch makes use of his experience conducting orchestras to provide captivating insights into leadership, teamwork and motivation. He entertains and engages audiences with presentations that are sophisticated, novel, clean, appeal across nationalities and are above all hilarious. He is also a hugely inspiring motivational speaker bringing fascinating insights into leadership.

Independent director

Sarah Khabirpour is currently an independent director. She has over 18 years’ experience in legal, strategic and regulatory positions in the private and public sector. As Chief Compliance officer for the Banque de Luxembourg from 2017-2020, she focused on reinforcing the Compliance framework and department. Previously, she held positions as Head of Strategy, Regulatory Affairs, Marketing and Communication at the Banque Internationale du Luxembourg (BIL), and Policy Advisor and Premier Conseiller de Gouvernement at the Luxembourg Ministry of Finance (from 2009-2014). She began her career as an attorney, working at Linklaters, and later at the Luxembourg Ministry of Justice.


Sarah is a member of the Board of Directors of ICBC (Europe) SA and the Chair of its Audit and Compliance Committee. She is also the member of the Board of Directors of the International School of Luxembourg (ISL), serving as its Vice-Chair since 2020. Previously, she was a Board Member (and its Chair) of the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF), Banque Internationale du Luxembourg (BIL), the Luxembourg Stock Exchange and Luxembourg for Finance.


Sarah has a law degree from the Sorbonne (Paris I) and a LLM from the London School of Economics & Political Science. She has a General Management degree from Harvard Business School and obtained the International Directors Programme certificate from INSEAD. She speaks English, French, German, Luxembourgish and Farsi.

Nicolas Mackel

Luxembourg for finance

Nicolas Mackel is CEO of Luxembourg for Finance, the Agency for the Development of the Financial Centre, since July 2013.

Nicolas is a career diplomat. He has graduated with a law degree from the University of Aix-en-Provence, and holds two post-graduate diplomas in European law from the Sorbonne University, respectively the College of Europe in Bruges where he then also served as a teaching assistant in the Law Department. He worked as a legal clerk at the European Court of Justice before joining the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1999. His assignments focused on the successive EU Treaty negotiations (Amsterdam, Nice, Constitution, Lisbon).

Nicolas was consecutively posted at Luxembourg’s Permanent Representation to the EU (2002-07), as Deputy Chief of Mission at Luxembourg’s Embassy in Washington DC (2007-11) and as Consul General in Shanghai (2011-13) where he was in charge of promoting Luxembourg’s economic interests throughout China as the Executive Director of the Luxembourg Trade and Investment Office.

John Psaila is the Managing Partner of Deloitte Luxembourg and officially took over stewardship of the firm’s 2,300 professionals in June 2018.

John started at Deloitte as a junior in 1995 and has been loyal to the Deloitte brand ever since. He has worked as an auditor for three different Deloitte member firms, and been exposed to a broad portfolio of clients that are diverse both from an industry as well as from a cultural perspective. John is specialized in group audits of commercial and industrial companies, and a reference when it comes to the framework governing the operation of public companies in Luxembourg. John joined Deloitte’s Luxembourg firm in 2001 and was appointed to Partner in 2008. In 2015, he was further promoted to the firm’s Executive Committee, and he acted as Deloitte Luxembourg’s Reputation & Risk Leader until he was elected as the firm’s next Managing Partner in October 2017 at the age of 39.

Originally from Malta, John is a fellow of the UK Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, a member of the Luxembourg Institute of Auditors, and an Authorised Statutory Auditor (réviseur d'entreprises agréé) in Luxembourg. Father of two kids, John is a member of the Luxembourg Round Table, and has a passion for music, literature and wine. He is fluent in French, English, Italian and Maltese.

He sees this may bring instability in scientific progress and may cause loss of billions of euros at stake. He wants to use his perspective as an iGen, passionate in STEM, to bring a change in their thinking. This will create a world more suited to the aspirations and expectations of iGen.

Atreyam has been addressing leading technology events globally since 2014, including TEDx talks in India and Luxembourg. In TEDxLuxembourgCity, Atreyam spoke about the aspirations and frustrations of iGens. In TEDxAssiRd in 2016 in India, Atreyam spoke about transforming Education system to prepare today's iGens to take the up the challenges of tomorrow.

Atreyam started his career as a teen entrepreneur, coder, teacher, and hardcore gamer. He started coding at the age of 11 and the following year, Co-Founded Workshop4Me a.s.b.l in 2013, a non-profit organization based in Luxembourg, with the objective of developing coding skills among children.

She won the ICT Rising Star special award at the IT Ladies night in December 2019 and she was selected as Finalist at the Technology Playmaker awards, which took place in 2018 in London. Avanti started coding at the age of 7 and started teaching youngsters when she turned 9. Soon thereafter, Avanti started her journey to international conferences and competitions. Avanti participated in the worldwide app development contest Technovation Challenge. In 2018, Avanti was selected as semifinalist for developing the MyEco app on the environment. Avanti developed One-Click Safety App and wrote its business plan in 2017.

Avanti is passionate about bringing in a new model of education with coding and STEM or addressing global issues differently taking into account the views of iGens. Despite her young age, she has already shared her thoughts on these subjects at the following events: Women in Tech (2018, Lisbon), where she was Finalist in 'Most Promising Junior', Technology Playmaker awards where Avanti was finalist under the category, ‘Rising Star of the year’ (2018, London), and at the KPMG Diversity Summit, Campus Italia, Milan, WonderWomaninTech, London, Scratch Conference, Budapest, Hub Dot, in Luxembourg and then in London, Women and Girls in Science, by Microsoft Accelerator, London.
