Aleksandra Suwala

Aleksandra is a Senior Manager within Deloitte’s Risk Advisory services in Luxembourg. With over 7 years of experience in the field of regulatory compliance, including GDPR and IT risk, she regularly advises Deloitte’s clients in complex projects requiring expert knowledge of regulatory matters.

Aleksandra has extensive experience in data protection and has been supporting clients in conducting of GDPR and IT regulatory projects. Her areas of expertise cover GDPR implementation projects, cookies management, electronic communications, performance of regulatory assessments of IT operating models for banks and PSF as well as preparation of CSSF notification and authorization files for IT outsourcing, including cloud.

In the past, Aleksandra gained experience in the field of data protection and regulatory in Magic Circle law firms and EU institutions. At the European Commission’s DG GROW, Aleksandra was involved in a number of policymaking engagements, comprising drafting of EU laws and regulations concerning data protection and advising on their contents.

Aleksandra holds a Master’s degree (LL.M., summa cum laude) with focus on Law and Technology from University of Ottawa as well as a Master’s degree in law from University of Warsaw. She is a qualified attorney admitted to the Warsaw Bar Association in Poland.
Aleksandra is a Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E). She is also ITIL v3, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor/Lead Implementer, ISO 22301 Lead Auditor/Lead Implementer certified.
