Bertrand joined Deloitte in 2005 and is a partner from the Risk Advisory practice since 2020, where he is managing risk consulting, regulatory compliance and internal audit assignments for the financial sector with a particular focus on banking.
Over the course of his career, he has been involved in numerous risk, compliance and regulatory assignments for financial institutions in Luxembourg and abroad (Europe, Middle East, Asia) embracing internal governance and control matters, risk management issues, target operating model design for internal control functions, compliance monitoring design, regulatory filing to Authorities and financial regulatory reporting review and compilation.
Bertrand regularly participates in the review of the internal governance frameworks with value proposition to revisit and adjust practices and mechanisms at all level of the institution including Authorized Management and Internal Control Functions. He is at the forefront of regulatory analyses and assessment by proposing compliance risk assessment solutions to financial institutions and management companies to foster the sound management of compliance risk profile of organization . He participates in regulatory filing of large institutions demonstrating his sound practical knowledge of the regulation. He supports several credit institutions on financial regulatory reporting including compilation service and quality process review with the objective to support and provide added value to clients.
Bertrand also delivers internal audit engagements for large institutions in Luxembourg on regulatory domains and participates to statutory audits (external audits) of banking institutions in Luxembourg where he is involved in financial audit aspects but also the review of the internal control, risk management and regulatory compliance aspects.
Bertrand is at the origin of the development of a risk and compliance digital platform that helps organization at assessing their compliance risk profile in the light of regulatory expectations.
Bertrand is acting as an Advisor in the board of the ALCO and is member of the IIA.
