Elena Petrova

Elena is a Director in the Corporate Finance Advisory department, where she focuses on credit products, with sample projects covering:

• support to clients with lending transactions (e.g. assessing counterparty credit risk, reviewing legal documentation terms for complex structures) 
• review and development of credit policies & procedures for international banks
• loan valuation support
• trainings to clients on credit analysis

Prior to Deloitte, Elena worked in the risk management functions of Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley in London. She specialized in credit risk across a broad range of areas including loan products and derivatives, and contributed to building out OTC client clearing infrastructure and implementing various regulatory initiatives. She has also advised clients on matters relating to rating agency interaction and potential impact on external ratings as a result of various corporate actions. Elena holds a Master’s degree from the London School of Economics and a Bachelor’s degree from the Warwick Business School, both specializing in Accounting and Finance. She is fluent in English and Russian, with a good understanding of French
