Mathieu Brizard

Mathieu joined Deloitte in 2014, and currently serves as Director in Risk Advisory for the Commercial, Industrial & Public sectors.

Mathieu leads activities to promote Risk Advisory services to the Commercial, Industrial and Public Sectors and support his clients in strengthening their global internal control framework, from the development of a relevant internal control system (1st line of defense) to the implementation of sound risk management and internal audit practice (2nd & 3rd lines of defense).

From 2018 to 2022, Mathieu acted as Chief Risk Officer within the Luxembourg leading postal and telecommunications operator. In this capacity, he was responsible for defining group’s risk management strategy, deploying and maintaining a consistent risk management framework and steering the risk assessment process across all business lines (postal/logistic, telecom/ICT, and finance) including reporting to key stakeholders (Executive Management, Board of Directors, Regulators).

Mathieu is a member of the Luxembourg chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors and the Luxembourg Institute of Directors. Mathieu holds a Master degree in Business Administration (accounting) from Laval University in Canada. He is fluent in French and English.
