Markus joined Deloitte Luxembourg’s Advisory and Consulting Group department as a Manager in 2007. Building on his previous experience at a Fund Management Company and another Big 4 firm, he focused from the start on mandates for the investment fund industry.
He has since acquired a vast operational experience and regulatory knowledge in assisting multiple clients with the global cross-border distribution of their investment funds, Markus currently has a transversal role within the Distribution, Advisory & Support team, including client relationship management and providing regulatory assistance to clients. In addition he is leading Deloitte’s ETF listing service.
He is the head of Alfi’s ETF working group and a member of EFAMA’s ETF task force.
He holds a master degree in business administration and economics from the Technical University of Aachen, Germany. He is fluent in German, English, French and Spanish.
