Our firm leadership

In Latvia, the services are provided by SIA Deloitte Latvia, SIA Deloitte Audits Latvia and law firm Deloitte Legal (jointly referred to as “Deloitte Latvia”) which are affiliates of Deloitte Central Europe Holdings Limited. Deloitte Latvia is one of the leading professional services organizations in the country providing services in tax, legal, audit and advisory through over 130 national and specialized expatriate professionals.

Kristine Jarve

Kristine Jarve joined Deloitte Latvia as Partner of Baltic Tax, Legal and BPO practice in August 2015.

Kristine has over 15 years of professional experience. For more than 10 years she was working for another international advisory company, providing tax consulting services to Latvian, Pan-Baltic and international clients. Within the consecutive 4 years Kristine continued her career in a Global role within the same international advisory company, working out of London office and being involved in multinational projects. Kristine was also responsible for strategic planning, organizational design and implementation, pursuit of go to market opportunities and delivering global client engagements.

Kristine is a graduate of Stockholm School of Economics in Riga and Oxford Brookes University. She also obtained Master’s degree in Business Administration at the University of Latvia and PhD of Economics and Business Administration at Riga Technical University. Kristine is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT) in UK.

Igor Rodin

Igor Rodin is a Tax Partner in Deloitte’s practice in the Baltics and Managing Partner of Deloitte Latvia with more than 20 years of professional experience. He was specializing in audit and accounting advisory services before entering the tax field in 1995. Igor joined Deloitte in 1994 and had been admitted to partnership in 1999. He is the first Latvian to become a partner in Big 4 accounting firm in Latvia and he was also the first local national to lead Big 4 practice in the Baltic’s.

Igor works on national and international tax matters and is currently specialized in tax questions relating to mergers and acquisitions, financial instruments and international tax structuring. For many years he specialized in sell side advisory. He is one of few experts in the country in the area of international tax structuring for leveraged buy-outs.

Roberts Stugis

Roberts Stugis has joined Deloitte Latvia as Partner of Latvian Audit and Advisory practice in May 2011. Prior to joining Deloitte, Roberts has been, for nearly ten years, with one of the largest banks in Latvia, fulfilling the position of Member of the Board and CFO. Before working for the bank, Roberts spent five years with the audit and advisory practice of another international audit firm, where he was involved in domestic audit assignments, as well as advisory assignments in countries such as Malaysia, Moldova, and London. Roberts has extensive experience in Corporate Finance projects, optimization and restructuring, audit and statutory reporting and financial review and due diligence.

Roberts was awarded the ACCA certificate in 2003. He holds a Bachelor’ s degree in Economics and Business Administration, as well as a Master of Science degree in Business Administration from Stockholm School of Economics in Riga.

Janis Cupans

Janis Cupans joined Deloitte Latvia in 2001 as a Tax Consultant and in 2015 he has been admitted as a Tax Partner in Deloitte Latvia.

Janis Cupans has a wide range of practical experience in international and Latvian taxation matters. His main area of expertise in the tax field is value added tax, international tax planning and structuring of transactions. Janis has managed a significant amount of tax projects and developed tax solutions for a number of Latvian and multinational companies. In addition to the client work, he is actively participating in working groups dealing with the tax policy and tax law changes.
