Elīna is Director at Tax department of Deloitte Latvia and has gained plentiful experience in tax over the last 18+ years with respect to tax matters in various industries. Elina has accumulated valuable experience in international tax structuring and tax transaction services, tax compliance, and general tax law, mostly advising Latvian and international companies on tax and financial issues that arise in cross-border transactions, also assisting local businesses in tax audits.
In addition to the client work, she is a member of the board of the Latvian Tax Consultant Association, as well as a lecturer in tax with several institutions of higher education in Latvia.
Selected recent project experience includes:
− Leading numerous tax due diligence and tax structuring projects;
− Support on business and operational set up for local subsidiary of MNE;
− Negotiation of MAP with Latvian tax authority with regards to PE’s profit double taxation issue between Latvia and foreign jurisdiction;
− Support in tax audit (including Transfer pricing issues) defense cases in Latvia.
