27 May 2020: "Tax and corporate considerations relevant to COVID-19"

This webinar provided an overview on practical issues from a tax and corporate perspective arising as a result of the current COVID-19 situation.

From a corporate perspective, the webinar addressed the measures which local regulatory authorities have introduced in order to better cope with COVID-19, and shall also focus on the various challenges which companies are facing, concerning decision-making processes and the implementation of potential solutions, such as audio-visual conferencing and electronic signatures.

The webinar also addressed updates from a local tax perspective as well as provided insight with respect to matters relevant to international tax such as the tax residence status of companies, the creation of permanent establishments and taxation of individuals.

 

20 May 2020: "Managing cash flow during a period of crisis"

This webinar provided practical viewpoints into the challenges, solutions and constraints associated with cash flow management during the current crisis.

While debt financing is usually the first option considered, it is not necessarily the best or only solution. This webinar presented alternative approaches which may be adopted in different illustrative situations.

To better understand potential limiting factors, the session also outlined some key constraints which may condition a bank’s ability to lend.

13 May 2020: "ESG - Sustainable finance and Malta's role"

This webinar discussed the current investment climate and Malta's role in shaping the future of sustainable finance.

 

06 May 2020: "Business design for the post-COVID-19 reality"

This webinar presented thought processes of how strategic priorities can be redefined to transform business into being well prepared for the post-COVID-19 era.

 

29 April 2020: "Accounting considerations related to COVID-19"

This webinar discussed certain key accounting considerations related to conditions that may result from the COVID-19 pandemic. Topics discussed were: going concern, adjusting versus non-adjusting events, financial instruments, impairment of non-financial assets, revenue and leases.  

 

22 April 2020: "Managing employees' well-being during COVID-19"

This webinar focused on key impacts that the crisis might have imposed on human capital, and looked into the importance of employee wellbeing. Experts from Deloitte Consulting (Malta) and Richmond Foundation presented various strategies that can be utilised by managers to support the wellbeing of the employees and the organisation during this period of crisis.

 

14 April 2020: "Responding to COVID-19"

Deloitte experts and industry leaders presented an overview about the impact of COVID-19 on the economy and business, then focused on the recent fiscal measures that have been announced. The webinar ended with a Q&A session.
