Deloitte Malta receives top ranking and is recognised as a tax expert

Press release

World Tax 2015 has awarded the Deloitte network its best rankings to date with Deloitte Malta being one of the 46 locations across the globe awarded a top tier one rating. This is the 7th consecutive year that the Malta firm has received this top ranking.

World Tax is designed to provide a full picture of the market for tax advice by assigning tier ratings to member firms in many jurisdictions. Rankings are based on firms’ breadth and depth of resources and experience, as well as quality of work.

The 2014 Guide to the World’s Leading Tax Advisers recognised Dr Conrad Cassar Torregiani, who leads the International Tax function at Deloitte Malta as an expert in his field. The guide named 147 Deloitte professionals from around the world as experts in their areas of specialism with Deloitte having more experts named, from more countries, than any other organization.

Experts are identified by researchers who conduct in-depth evaluations of tax practitioners across 63 jurisdictions. The expert designation is awarded at the conclusion of an open nominations process and shortlist process followed by validation by a select group of advisers.

“These strong results reflect Deloitte’s network-wide focus on technical excellence, technology, innovation, collaboration, and providing a distinctive client experience, as well as the hard work and excellent performance of Deloitte member firm tax and legal professionals,” said Dan Lange, Deloitte Global Leader, Tax and Legal.

Deloitte member firms are part of a global network that includes over 30,000 tax & legal partners and professionals.

The flexible service delivery model of Deloitte member firms helps enable clients to choose a level of support that is right for them. Services can be provided using a local approach, a global or regionally coordinated approach, or a centralized approach to help increase efficiency and control over tax activities.

Clients benefit from the global reach of the worldwide network of Deloitte member firms, while retaining access to local tax knowledge when and where they need it. This means strong relationships with revenue authorities, an informed perspective on regulatory changes, and a tax provider with a deep understanding of their issues and the environments in which they operate.
