Deloitte makes €8000 donation to Hospice Malta
Press release
As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, Deloitte Malta recently donated the sum of €8,000 to Hospice Malta. Caroline Cassar Reynaud, Senior Manager within the Office of the CEO at Deloitte Malta presented the cheque to Dr Vince Zammit, Vice Chairperson of Hospice Malta at the Deloitte offices in Mriehel.
These proceeds were generated through a number of initiatives organised by the firm’s Reaching Out Committee, including a Pay as You Earn scheme through which staff donate an amount each month from their salary, the collection of funds through sponsorship for Deloitte staff and family members taking part in the Vodafone Malta Marathon, as well as other internal social functions.
“Deloitte Malta thanks Hospice Malta for giving us the opportunity to work with you once again. Through our various initiatives, our people have come together to support a worthy cause, so that we can make a difference to the people you care for. The donation we give to you today is the result of our people coming together as one and this embodies the standard of excellence we always strive to achieve in anything we do." said Caroline Cassar Reynaud.
Hospice Malta is a voluntary organisation providing and promoting the highest standards of Palliative care for persons with cancer, motor neurone disease and other terminal diseases. Today, Hospice Malta is caring for around 900 patients and their families. All the services provided to patients and their families are all free of charge.
