Press release

On 21 May 2015, Deloitte Malta was awarded ‘National Tax Firm of the Year 2015’ at the International Tax Review European Tax Awards held at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London. Nick Captur collected the award on behalf of Deloitte Malta. Malcolm Booker, CEO said "Deloitte Malta is very pleased to be recognised internationally as the leading tax firm in Malta and notes that it has won this award four times which reaffirms our desire to be recognised as the standard of excellence in what we do."

The Deloitte network of member firms (Deloitte) was given 15 top awards by International Tax Review at the annual European Tax Awards in London. Deloitte received three regional awards: European Financial Services Tax Deal of the Year, ECJ Firm of the Year and European Tax Innovator of the Year. In addition to regional awards, Deloitte member firms’ tax practices in Austria, Central Europe, Greece, Malta, Sweden and Switzerland won Tax Firm of the Year, and Deloitte member firms in the Baltic States, Belgium, Italy, Poland and Switzerland were named Transfer Pricing Firm of the Year, for their respective countries.

Awards were given to firms and networks that demonstrated the most innovative client work in Europe between January 2014 and December 2014. "The Deloitte network is very proud to again receive ITR’s recognition for our member firms’ excellence across so many tax disciplines throughout Europe and we congratulate Malta for winning this award for the fourth time," said Dan Lange, Deloitte Global Leader, Tax and Legal. "These awards are a reflection of Deloitte’s network-wide investment in, and focus on, technical excellence, technology, innovation, collaboration, and providing a distinctive client experience."

Deloitte member firms are part of a global network that includes approximately 28,000 member firm tax partners and professionals worldwide.

The flexible service delivery model of Deloitte member firms helps enable clients to choose a level of support that is right for them. Services can be provided using a local approach, a global or regionally coordinated approach, or a centralized approach to help increase efficiency and control over tax activities.

Clients benefit from the global reach of the worldwide network of Deloitte member firms, while retaining access to local tax knowledge when and where they need it. This means strong relationships with revenue authorities, an informed perspective on regulatory changes, and a tax provider with a deep understanding of their issues and the environments in which they operate.

Deloitte Malta’s tax practice, with eight tax principals and over 75 tax professionals, is recognised as a leader in its field. Marc Alden, Tax Service Line leader commented "To build on the recognition that we have already achieved, we are always looking out for the brightest and the best graduates with an interest in tax. As Malta’s fastest growing Big 4 firm last year, our growth offers unrivalled potential for career advancement at all levels. We would encourage new entrants into the profession to have a conversation with us to discover the international and varied career that is available in tax.
