IFRS 17: Road to compliance

Addressing the challenges and planning a pragmatic way forward

26 June 2018 | Villa Arrigo, Naxxar, Malta

The Directors' Series provides company directors, and senior management, with the opportunity to stay informed in a time of frequent change and growing demands.

As part of the recently launched Directors’ Series, Deloitte Malta will be holding a forum discussion entitled ‘IFRS 17: Road to compliance’.

IFRS 17: Insurance contracts replaces the currently applicable IFRS 4 and has an effective date of 1 January 2021. Deloitte expects that implementing IFRS 17 requirements will entail major changes to insurance companies’ actuarial and finance reporting processes, systems and data.

This forum will be of interest to Chief Executive Officers and Chief Financial Officers of insurance companies and will serve to provide an appropriate level of awareness of the new Insurance Contracts accounting standard and the challenges that come with its implementation.

Local and foreign speakers will address this event.
