Matthew is a Manager within the tax team at Deloitte Malta, where he focuses on both tax and regulatory implications to a number of corporate transactions. Matthew regularly advises on corporate and regulatory issues in Malta and is deeply involved with the planning and implementation of group restructurings and transfers of assets, both domestic and cross-border.
Matthew has a Masters Degree in Law and an LL.B Degree (University of Malta) as well as a Degree in International Economics, Management and Finance (Bocconi University, Milan). He has been admitted to the Maltese bar and is a member of the Chamber of Advocates (Malta) and an Associate Member of the Malta Institute of Taxation. His mother tongue is English and he also speaks Maltese and Italian fluently.
Matthew joined Deloitte in 2014 and has since been exposed to various industries, including financial services, banking, retail and pharmaceutical, amongst others and has provided assistance from both a tax and regulatory perspective to a number of international clients operating in these industries.
