El 30 de abril de 2020 a través del Diario Oficial de la Federación se informa sobre el acuerdo por el que se determina ampliación a la suspensión de plazos y términos del 20 al 30 de mayo de 2020 para aquellos procesos y trámites realizados ante la Secretaría de Relaciones Exteriores (SRE), lo anterior con motivo de la emergencia sanitaria generada por el virus SARS-CoV2 (COVID-19).
