Deloitte unveils Malaysia’s Best Managed Companies 2024 winners

KUALA LUMPUR, 22 August 2024 – Deloitte Malaysia is delighted to announce the 2024 Malaysia Best Managed Companies on Thursday, 22 August 2024 at Le Meridien Kuala Lumpur. The awards program, in its fourth edition this year, recognises 10 exceptional private businesses in Malaysia for their organisational success and contributions to their industry and the economy.

To achieve this Best Managed Companies title, businesses undergo a rigorous assessment led by a panel of independent and multi-disciplinary judges. Applicants are evaluated based on four core pillars –strategy, capabilities and innovation, culture and commitment, as well as governance and financials. An independent panel of judges comprising of business representatives reviewed applications and selected this year’s winners.

This year’s judges were YAM Tunku Ali Redhauddin ibni Tuanku Muhriz, Chairman of Taliworks; Datuk Syed Mohamed Syed Ibrahim, President and Chief Executive of Johor Corporation; Mohd Rashid Mohamad, Group Managing Director & Group CEO of RHB Banking Group; Rohaya Mohammad Yusof, Chief Investment Officer of Employees Provident Fund (EPF); and Rashyid Redza Anwarudin, Chief Sustainability Officer, SD Guthrie Berhad.

For the first time, Malaysia celebrated the achievements of two Gold standard winners – Mamee-Double Decker (M) Sdn Bhd and Sunway Group – who have consistently performed at a Best Managed level for four consecutive years.

The award ceremony also welcomed two new winners who have successfully qualified as a Best Managed company, along with eight companies who have qualified to maintain their Best Managed status.
