I am a privacy & data protection advisor within Deloitte Cyber Risk Services. I advise multinational organizations on the strategic and operational needs involved in using data effectively and executing data related risk management.

While at Deloitte, I have advised on data strategy & governance, building privacy by design into cloud platforms, enterprise systems, connected devices and into software development methodologies, designing data breach notification procedures, building privacy-centric organizational structures, and developing GDPR implementation plans, amongst other things.

Clients I have worked with include financial institutions, energy and resource companies, logistics and postal companies, fast-moving-consumer-goods (FMCG) companies, B2B and B2C technology companies, and media companies.

Prior to Deloitte, I was trainee legal counsel at the Philips headquarters in Amsterdam. At Philips I advised on fundamental privacy and data protection principles in the digital environment. I paid specific attention to the responsible collection and management of health-related data, consumer data, and data collected from connected devices in the Internet of Things.
