Deloitte has been organizing the Women on Boards program for Dutch natives successfully for the 10th time in a row. Because of the popularity of this program, we have designed the Women on Boards English edition, especially developed for foreign women seeking to take the next step towards a boardroom position in the Netherlands.
Anyone who is appointed as member of a board or supervisory body will face big challenges and surprises. With the proper tools for boardroom discussions and a network of women in similar positions with whom you can share your experiences, you have a solid basis. Deloitte’s varied Women on Boards program offers you this unique combination.
What will the Women on Boards program bring you?
This program is designed to help you enlarge and/or broaden your knowledge and skills on topics such as; corporate governance, risk and crisis management and innovation, to boardroom dynamics, boardroom effectiveness and personal branding. You will dive into business cases together, share knowledge and experiences in interactive formats, and you will work on both your hard and soft skills.
The program offers sufficient room for building a network with your fellow course participants and lecturers. You will be building strong mutual ties in an intimate setting and at unique locations in the Netherlands. Ties that endure a lifetime and will help you be successful as a female leader.

Target group
This Women on Boards program is designed for international women seeking to take the next step towards a boardroom position in the Netherlands:
• International women who have recently been admitted to the Board of Directors or Supervisory Board
• International women with the ambition and qualities to take this step within the next three years
You will be invited to an intake interview before the course starts, to determine your expectations and personal learning objectives

Day 1
Theme: Introduction to Corporate Governance & Let's connect
Purpose: Kick-off and insight into managing dynamics in the
boardroom and the Corporate Governance Code (overview)
Day 2
Theme: Boardroom dynamics & effectiveness
Purpose: Insight into managing dynamics, increasing your impact within the board and build a diverse and efficient team
Day 3
Theme: Governance and long-term value creation
Purpose: Understanding the relationship between the Supervisory Board and the Managment Board and how to obtain a boardroom position
Day 4
Theme: Stakeholermanagement, culture & personal presence
Purpose: Deep dive in the Governance Code, gaining insight into how you present yourself and your personality profile
Day 5
Theme: Boardroom themes & crisis management
Purpose: Linking developments in the market to the boardroom and gaining insight into three phases of crisis management
Day 6
Theme: Dialogical leadership & intervision
Purpose: Insight into your preferred leadership style and reviewing your personal challenges
Day 7, 8 & 9
Theme: Personal branding, boardroom presence & the invisible network
Purpose: To optimize soft skills for board members and supervisory boardmembers- lobbying, networking and personal branding

Deloitte Academy is a training institute accredited by several organizations.

Until four weeks before the start of the course you may cancel your participation by email free of charge. Should you cancel within four weeks before the start of the course you will have to pay the full course fee.

Caroline Zegers
As partner within Global Employer Services, I am responsible for the Executive & Equity Compensation team, I have over 25 year experience as (boardroom) advisor in the fields of remuneration and governance. I am also the chair of the Supervisory Board program and the Executive Ladies program. Complex challenges concerning HR, governance and tax as well as regulations and compensation in the financial sector is my expertise.

Britt Mekel
As head of Deloitte Academy, I am responsible for managing the Academy portfolio and the team that makes it all happen. Also I am responsible for the Executive Learning package, developing masterclasses, onboarding programs and inhouse trainings for (prospective) members of Boards of Directors,Management Boards and Supervisory Boards, and other business leaders.
