This one-day course provides insight into key management practices and the security aspects of payment environments. Participants will gain practical experience with various aspects of the key management process, including the design of key ceremony scripts and execution of key management activities using hardware security module (HSM) devices.
The course starts with an introduction to key management, covering the various phases of the key management lifecycle: key creation, key storage, key exchange, key renewal and key destruction. After the introduction we will cover the procedures and techniques applicable to these various aspects of key management.

For the virtual session we will use "Zoom". The Zoom environment that Deloitte works with is encrypted with a password and the environment is accessible via a participation link.
Therefore, it is not necessary to install any software to participate in the session.
Within Deloitte Netherlands, we have conducted our own confidentiality, privacy and security risk assessments and security measures on Zoom, validating that our Zoom instance is configured in a secure manner and that all risky functionalities have been disabled.

Since 2014 Rolf has been part of the Deloitte Cyber Risk Advisory Team and mainly works on technical aspects such as cryptography, payment security and vulnerability assessments. Focusing on the financial and oil & gas industry, but also on ICS/SCADA and IoT environments. In IoT I originally started with my master’s thesis from the TU/e and accompanying publication, with graduating on the security and privacy of V2V communications. Besides the technical aspects I also perform more general risk assessments, facilitate internal courses and give guest lectures. I am also part of the Deloitte Ambassador Team, which promotes Deloitte amongst universities.
