Using data analytics to maximize supply chain efficiency

How do you use data analytics to maximize supply chain efficiency? Deloitte developed a Supply Chain framework and a structured approach that help organizations to obtain actionable insights from their supply chain.

Your challenge

New and disruptive technologies and growing amounts of data affect the supply chain constantly. As a consequence, organizations struggle to guarantee an agile, flexible and transparent supply chain; one that is capable of coping with a continuously shifting playing field.

Big Data and Advanced Analytics can help with this struggle. It can help to improve decision making and to ensure interoperability throughout the supply chain. It can provide fact-based insight in the major risks for the supply chain and mitigate them by calculating scenarios. It can help to organize the reverse logistics process. And these are only a few of the many solutions that data analytics can bring to your supply chain.

But how to find out which specific Supply Chain Analytics solution can benefit your organization? And how to implement them? Deloitte can help.

Point of View on Supply Chain Analytics

Our approach

Deloitte’s Supply Chain Analytics approach is not a one-size-fits-all solution, but a solution that is tailor-made for your organization. We developed a framework that consists of different supply chain analytics solutions and that covers all parts of the end-to-end supply chain.

Based on our experience in advanced analytical engagements, we developed a structured approach. In six steps, we go from assessing the current situation to the implementation of a specific solution that can vary from Advanced Demand and Inventory Planning, to Supply Chain Visualization or Advanced Transport Optimization. Each step allows looping back to previous steps to apply the insights gained in subsequent steps.
