Deloitte Futurists & BOLD Leader Program
This year we are hosting a new series of events: the Futurists & BOLD Leaders Program. This program offers the chance to share your perspectives on what it takes to be a Futurist & BOLD Leader, to co-create our vision on the future together and to battle it out for the 2019 Deloitte BOLD Leader Award!
We are looking for Futurists & BOLD Leaders to discuss the future and trends with and together shaping our vision on the future.
BOLD Leaders are those who:
- Have a compelling vision for their business;
- Inspire people to make a difference;
- Outline long term direction;
- Are courageous, daring and willing to take calculated risks;
- Value their imagination and encourage others to dream big too;
- Rally a team around a shared ideal; and
- Are not afraid to invest in unproven ideas
We are convinced that being a Futurist or BOLD Leader has nothing to do with hierarchical levels, span of control or age!

Futurists & BOLD Leader Program setup
Deloitte’s Futurists & BOLD Leaders Program 2018-2019 consists of the Futurist Event (October 9th), followed by a short campaign, and will culminate with the 2019 Human Capital Trends Launch in April 2019 – where we will also award the BOLD Leader of the year.
The BOLD Leader of the year nominees will be identified based on nominations from peers or by themselves, during and shortly after the Futurists Event. Based on vlogs in which the nominees show their BOLDness and their impact, a top 10 is selected.
Next, in a finalists process, nominees present their view of People Leadership trends. Nominees vote for each other in each category of BOLD, of which the scores define the TOP 3 leaders.
During the annual Human Capital Trends Event in April 2019, our finalists present their views one final time after which the audience will vote for the Futurist & BOLD Leader 2018-2019. The winner receives a Deloitte Greenhouse Lab session of his or her choice – for example a High Performing Teams Lab together with his or her team, or a Personal Plan.
During the program all nominees will be guided by Deloitte coaches on leadership presence and marketing. The top 10 contestants are rewarded with a 360 Article in Management Scope magazine. The BOLD Leader of the Year wins a Deloitte Greenhouse Lab session of his or her choice – for example a High Performing Teams Lab together with his or her team, or a Personal Plan, facilitated by Deloitte experts in the winner’s area of expertise, interest, or industry.
