Enter the next level of process excellence
Deloitte’s Process Robotics (also known as Robotic Process Automation, or RPA) offering can deliver automated and improved business processes, making your organization more effective, efficient, and increasing capacity in your teams. We will assess your needs and match your requirements with technology that suits your purposes. Our Process Robotics solution is built to realize benefits for you, fast.
Robotic Process Automation
Across all industries, organizations today face an increased pressure to reduce costs, increase quality and increase customer satisfaction. However, complex IT landscapes and limited IT budgets make automation and other IT changes in organizations too long and costly. This results in a high number of administrative tasks with low added value to customers and shareholders. Process Robotics proofs to support in automation of repetitive activities, and thereby freeing up your workforce, achieving cost reductions and service improvements. Activities will be performed faster, without errors, and without any changes to your current IT landscape.
Defining Process Robotics
Process Robotics (also known as Robotic Process Automation, or RPA) is a way to automate repetitive activities. Dedicated robotic software emulates human execution of repetitive processes with existing applications. It can be used to automate all processes across functions that are highly repetitive, prone to error, rules based, and time critical and/or seasonal; Shared Services is a good place to start the journey.
Existing IT applications are captured and interpreted by software, also known as a ‘robot’, to perform routine business processes such as transaction processing, data manipulation and communication across multiple IT systems. Entire end-to-end processes can be performed by the software robots, usually human interaction is only required to handle exceptions. Multiple robots can be seen as a virtual workforce.
Benefits of Process Robotics
Benefits of this virtual workfroce go beyond cost reduction, and include:
- 24/7 availability
- Increased process efficiency and speed
- Improved accuracy (quality) during the execution of the process
- Flexibility and scalability
- Increased security
- Increase employee morale – employees are free to add more value
- No changes are required to the current IT landscape
A Process Robotics strategy in 5 steps
The development of a process robotics strategy for your organization follows five steps, looking beyond the initial deployment to the growth of Process Robotics in the organization:
- Perform an assessment to identify robotization opportunities
- Build your business case
- Determine which operating model is optimal
- Identify your partner(s) in Process Robotics
- Plan the Robotics roadmap
Deloitte has a proven experience in successful Process Robotics project delivery and has various partnerships with the main software vendors. Our Process Robotics experts are able to help you with the strategic decision to automate processes, conducting a proof of concept, selecting the most appropriate software vendor, and implementing your virtual workforce, while taking care of the organizational, change management and maintenance aspects. Deloitte provides support and guidance to clients in their automation journey and the impact to their operating model, sourcing strategy and build their internal Process Robotics automation capacity.
