The Deloitte Fast 50 celebrates New Zealand's fastest-growing businesses. Those that have found the formula for success came together for the national awards ceremony – the Festival of Growth, held at Auckland's Villa Maria Estate.
The annual Fast 50 programme is comprised of three categories that celebrate entrepreneurial Kiwi business success: the Rising Star Award, recognising early-stage, high-potential businesses; the Fast 50 index itself, celebrating companies that have experienced significant growth over a three-year period; and the Master of Growth index, for more mature businesses achieving sustained high growth rates.
The Festival of Growth was a day full of fun, interesting speakers and new connections. Panel discussions ranged from creating a positive workplace to operating a purpose-led business, and all prompted some fascinating insights from leaders who have experienced the challenges and opportunities of fast growth.
Most importantly, the Festival marked the unveiling of New Zealand's fastest-growing companies from the 2019 programme.
The winning formula
Smart Membrane Solutions, which specialises in filtration technology in the dairy industry, secured the number one spot on this year's Fast 50 index with an incredible 1295% revenue growth over the past three years.
One of New Zealand's leading providers of premium health supplements, GO Healthy took home the number one ranking on the Master of Growth index with 561% revenue growth over the past five years.
The Rising Star winner was Rascal + Friends, which supplies quality nappies to parents all over New Zealand and now the world. Meanwhile our Rising Star One to Watch award went to prosthetic hand makers, TASKA Prosthetics.
The chemistry continues...
Many of this year's Fast 50 businesses are well on their way to becoming household names and their success isn't restricted to a single calendar year. We hope to see many of this year's businesses return to be part of the Fast 50 programme in years to come, as we continue to toast to the success of some of New Zealand’s fastest growing companies.
