Deloitte Fast 50 regional winners announced

National Fast 50 index to be unveiled 4 November

The regional category winners of the 2015 Deloitte Fast 50 were announced tonight at cocktail events held around the country.

The national Deloitte Fast 50 index and national category winners will be unveiled as part of the Deloitte Festival of Fast Growth, to be held in Auckland on 4 November 2015.

Deloitte Private partner Bill Hale says these companies prove business success stories are thriving throughout the regions.

“These companies live and breathe innovation, challenge the status quo and have the determination and drive that’s seen them achieve phenomenal year-on-year growth,” says Mr Hale.

“A common theme behind their success is the ability to identify and then capitalise on a point of difference from their competitors. They do a specific thing very well and they really try and nail that niche.”

“A thriving community of fast growing innovative companies is fundamentally important to our economy,” he adds.

These companies have earned the right to join other high growth companies from around the country at the annual Deloitte Festival of Fast Growth in November, where the final rankings and growth percentages of our national Fast 50 index, plus the national category winners and the Rising Star winner, will be announced.

The Deloitte Festival of Fast Growth is a full-day event where Fast 50 companies will hear from inspirational speakers, network with other winners past and present, interact with industry experts and celebrate their success.

“Tune in on 4 November to find out how the regional category winners place on the national 2015 Deloitte Fast 50 index,” concludes Mr Hale.

About the Deloitte Fast 50

The Deloitte Fast 50 index ranks the top 50 businesses in New Zealand according to their revenue growth over the past three years.  Entrants are required to be New Zealand registered companies, have been in business for a minimum of three years, and have had operating revenue of at least $300,000 in the 2012/13 financial year.

As well as the national Fast 50 index, there are regional awards given to the fastest growing manufacturer, technology business, services business, retail/consumer products business, exporter, and mature business (operating for 15 years or more) in 5 regions, Auckland and Upper North Island, Central North Island, Wellington & Lower North Island, Canterbury & Upper South Island and Otago and Lower South Island.

All technology businesses which enter the Deloitte Fast 50 are automatically nominated for the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 Asia-Pacific index announced in Hong Kong in December.
