A diverse group of talent: Meet Deloitte’s new leaders
9 new partners and 14 new directors have been promoted or hired into Deloitte’s teams around the country at the half year, December 2019.
Wellington – 17 February 2020 – Deloitte is pleased to announce the appointment of 9 new partners and 14 new directors. These appointments bring our complement of partners up to 130 and directors to 76 into a total national team that now exceeds 1400.
These new leaders represent a diverse group of talent and our continued commitment to creating visible opportunities for our people to grow their careers.
In Auckland, Jamie Hall has been appointed Tax & Private partner. He specialises in tax and commercial advice to large, family-owned businesses and leads our Fast 50 programme. New Consulting partner Jane Fitzgerald
works in Operations Transformation, specialising in business model transformation. Roopa Raj has been appointed Risk Advisory partner, and has extensive experience in the Financial Services sector, while Bennie Greyling
joins our Assurance & Advisory partners, having led a wide variety of engagements spanning multiple industries and borders.
Our new Auckland directors are Rajesh Pradhan (Risk Advisory), Jamie Abela (Tax & Private), Liz Nelson (Tax & Private), Rob Campbell (Financial Advisory –Restructuring), Kerry Williams (Consulting) and Mere Kingi (Tax & Private and Māori Services Group).
In Wellington, Robyn Walker joins our Tax & Private partners. Robyn has a special focus on tax policy and legislative developments. Jane Fraser-Jones has been appointed a joint partner in Corporate Finance & Risk Advisory. Jane joined Deloitte after spending six years as the former Prime Minister’s senior advisor, and works almost exclusively with public sector and industry bodies. We are also pleased to announce that, with more than 20 years’ experience in the financial services industry, Lee-Ann du Toit has been made Actuarial Services partner.
Our new Wellington directors are Colin Owens (Financial Advisory – Restructuring), Zoe Wallis (Chief Economist), Victoria Harrison (Tax & Private), Tom Moore (Risk Advisory) and Jodee Webb (Tax & Private).
In Christchurch, Nicole Dring has been appointed as partner in Assurance & Advisory. Nicole is an experienced audit professional with a demonstrated history of working with clients in a range of industries. In Christchurch, we have also appointed Crispin Deans as a director in Risk Advisory and Emma Johns as a director in Consulting following her return from the UK.
In Hamilton, we are pleased to announce the appointment of Muhammad Cajee as a Corporate Finance partner. Muhammad joined us in 2016 from Johannesburg, where he built a career around transaction and M&A advisory services. We have also appointed Andrea Scatchard to director in our Hamilton Tax & Private team.
Deloitte New Zealand Chief Executive Thomas Pippos said: “Once again and synonymous with our continued growth, we are admitting a significant number of senior members of the team into the leadership group – 23 in total for this half year.
