Our signature social innovation programme for Year 11 and Year 12 high school students
Within New Zealand we work alongside educators, not-for-profit leaders, and the government, to lead and contribute to the development and delivery of solutions to our most pressing education and skills challenges.
Deloitte Grow is a free programme for Year 11 and Year 12 high school students that challenges them to apply knowledge, skills and creativity towards different ways of growing money. Our signature programme provides young people with real world, hands-on learning. This future-focused programme focuses on developing entrepreneurial thinking and belief in self for a positive financial future.
Students are encouraged to develop their inner resources; creativity, imagination, experience, knowledge and their personal networks, through in-class sessions. They then apply these newfound skills in a four week entrepreneurial challenge, aspiring to grow $5.00 seed capital in to as much as possible.
Students connect with a Deloitte Fast50 client, who shares their experience and company story to wealth and success, and a Deloitte professional who coaches them during the entrepreneurial challenge.
GROW seeks to provide meaningful learning experiences to the next generation of entrepreneurs and investors, thus contributing to the development of life skills of the future workforce and potentially diversify business ownership in New Zealand. Grow develops entrepreneurial confidence in students who may, as a result, envision new possibilities for themselves beyond school.
