Climate risk and adaptation

Climate risk mitigation, scenario analysis and adaptation planning present uncharted territory for many organisations

We have a proven track record in helping organisations understand their climate risks, plan for different climate scenarios, and navigate new compliance requirements.

Our tools and services are designed to set you up for success. We have designed our service offerings based on our understanding of the most pressing needs organisations are facing. They also align with and support Climate-related disclosure requirements:

  • Climate risk governance workshops and gap analysis
We work with your team to map out climate risk accountability throughout the tiers of your organisation, assess organisational risk management frameworks for climate risk compatibility, and provide a gap analysis to map non-compliance areas.
  • Climate risk assessments and materiality analysis
We facilitate physical and transition risk assessments that culminate in a materiality analysis. Our methodology ensures that we capture individual and interconnected cascading risks to pinpoint the most material risks present for the organisation. The final output is a prioritised risk list, based on an amalgamated risk score; visual risk maps enable you to visually identify and develop holistic adaptation options.
  • Scenario analysis and stress testing portfolios for climate risk exposure
Our process enables you to undertake scenario analysis as part of the risk assessment process.
  • Tolerance threshold mapping
Tolerance threshold mapping allows you to identify the point in time at which your asset, service, or portfolio is no longer viable, under a given global warming scenario. This provides the trigger point for unlocking the required investment to deploy the appropriate adaptation option.
  • Adaptation optioneering
We work with your team to identify the appropriate adaptation options for mitigating risks presented by climate change-related stressors.
  • Dynamic adaptive pathways planning
A final output of the risk assessment and tolerance threshold mapping process is a dynamic adaptive pathways map, which, based on the inputs, illustrates which adaptation options to deploy at what point in time, under a given global warming scenario.
