Climate Risk Governance Workshop Series

Leading the transition

Board-Level Climate & Sustainability Programme 2022

Boards are now accountable, by law, for ensuring that climate risk is adequately managed. Our board-level climate risk programme is designed to help non-executive directors understand their role and responsibility on climate change risk management to empower and enable them to take action in their influential roles.

This is the first of a four-part workshop series delivered by Deloitte in partnership with Toitū Tahua: Centre for Sustainable Finance and Sustainable Business Council.

Climate Risk Governance Workshop Series

What do the workshops deliver?

We establish a shared understanding of international best practice on climate risk governance. You will leave the workshops informed about the material challenges and opportunities that climate change presents, and your pivotal role as steward of the company’s long-term resilience.

This foundation will empower you to compellingly communicate the business case for climate risk management and performance. You will be prepared to develop a pathway forward to embed climate resilience and maximise opportunities for the business.

We share best practice, insights and guidance on governance for climate change risk, and XRB climate related disclosure compliance. Participants learn alongside other non-executive directors who are empowering themselves to navigate their organisations through the challenges and opportunities presented by climate change.

The programme consists of four 2 hour long workshops (each covering two of the Climate Governance Initiative Principles for Effective Governance), spaced approximately a month apart.
