GST on Mortgagee Sales

The issue of whether you can recover GST on costs associated with mortgagee sales has recently had another twist, this time in the taxpayer’s favour. Businesses that provide finance to other businesses and use the business-to-business GST zero rating of financial services provisions, can now recover the GST on costs associated with trying to recover any amounts owed, if those loans turn sour.
